Infants Program

- Only available for full-time English class 12–20 months

 

The Montessori Infants classroom is a combined, multi-age community of learners between the ages of 12-20 months. Children move freely within the environment between various hands-on, self-correcting materials. These materials are designed to appeal to the child’s desire to explore the world in a meaningful way. 

Toddlers Program

- English classes 21 - 36 months 

- Bilingual Vietnamese-English classes 18 - 36 months

 

The toddler program is offered for children from 21-36 months and the class is held from Monday to Friday with an optional half day or full day class.

We assist children toward independence, social awareness, respect, and the development of motor skills and language skills. Maria Montessori asserted that human beings develop with the greatest intensity during the first three years of life; therefore, toddler classrooms are designed to provide nurturance, security, and challenge in an orderly environment. The Maximum number of children in each Toddler class is 12 or 15 with 3 trained teachers. Saigon Montessori teacher is also required to possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree.

Parents may choose from the following programs:

Half Day: Classes meet Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
Full Day: Classes meet Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm

What is the school’s daily routine?

Half Day program is a five day a week program from 9:00-12: 00 pm. Children arrive at 8:30, change into their indoor shoes (optional) and begin their Montessori lessons. Mid-morning, a healthy snack is provided by the school. Afterward, children engage in music and indoor or outdoor playtime. Dismissal after lunch at 12:00 pm.

Full Day program is a five day a week program from 9:00am-3: 30 pm. Children arrive at 8:30, change into their indoor shoes (optional) and begin their Montessori lessons. Mid-morning, a healthy snack is provided by the school. Afterward, children engage in music and indoor or outdoor playtime followed by lunch. Children nap in the afternoons. After waking, the period before pick up grants children the additional time to strengthen their social and emotional ties while continuing Montessori lessons. Dismissal is at 3:30pm.

How many children are in each classroom?

A maximum of 12-15 students with three teachers. 

Does my child need to be potty trained to attend?

Toddler students do not need to be potty trained. Our teachers help promote toileting independence and self-care throughout the toddler year
